Paddy Egan was a Castlegar and County Galway Hurler.

Unfortunately, Paddy passed away in May, 2017.

  • Paddy lived in Ballybrit and later ran a Hostel in Woodquay, Galway.
  • He was a Man of great Hurling skill and an influence on an aspiring John Connolly, and many more since as a Trainer.
  • We have him on file here where he was on the Championship winning Team of 1972.
  • Paddy was an integral part of the Galway Senior Team which won the New York Championship in 1964 and is included in a Team photograph from that time in the Galway Advertiser. (ref. ).
  • He was also photographed with the Galway Team in the 1955 all-Ireland Final against Wexford where they lost, unfortunately.
