Manager Mike Connolly's assessment of the U13 championship so far.

Castlegar U13s continue to improve as the championship progresses. Having lost the first two games in the group against a very good Tynagh-Abbey-Duniry team by 7 points and then losing to a strong Turloughmore side by 5 points the lads have regrouped and had very good wins over Ballygar and Kilnadeema/Leitrim. While very disappointed to lose the first two games the performances were reasonably good although they all agree that they can play better. The game against Ballygar got their confidence back and this showed again with the victory over Kilnadeema/Leitrim. The panel of 20 players have put in a huge effort so far and are taking on board what the coaches are trying to do.
Next up is Craughwell and if they put in a good performance a quarter final place is guaranteed.
Well done to all and keep up the good work.
